The continuation of space exploration is vital to the human race because it is a clear expression of the human’s desire to expand themselves, and advance further in knowledge and experience in such a way that has improved the conditions of living. The launch of the International Space Station is among one of its greatest achievements. “On January 25th, 1994, The International Space Station was the highlight of a moment brimming with promise“ (Logsdon, 2008 p.237). This moment not only helped to define both technology and the economy as successful beneficiaries of Space Exploration, but also as a historically inspirational scientific development. “Space exploration Research has profited in several thousand medical instruments, ranging anywhere from devices for the detection of drug overdose to pacemakers” (Neil, 2013, p. 137). In addition to that, the space programs have given the medical profession a better understanding of how a healthy human functions, as well as the tools for studying the human body. Many lives that have been saved and preserved as a result of the medical advances made possible by space-related programs, and this demonstrates the values and benefits that the space program has already achieved, and suggests what may be in it’s future if it is continued. The space program has also played its role in contributing to the economical needs of the United States, including the preservation and locating of food and water supplies. According to researchers, “Land satellites (or “landsats”) today can help measure the condition of wheat, which helps to identify and isolate potential disease that could be spreading among the crops” (Neil, 2013, p. 134). Another purpose of these landsats is to monitor freshwater supplies. “With an increasing need for locating water supplies, these devices help to not only
