The plot of “The Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck” is full of twists and turns that keep you guessing on what is going to happen next. This story is about Greg Heffley and all the problems he has throughout the entirety of the story. The whole story starts out in the beginning of the school year with Greg Heffley not having any friends. Greg usually has a friend to start the school year, but this year Rowley got a girlfriend and left Greg all alone. At school he tries to make friends, but nobody bothers to give him a chance. Since he couldn’t find friends the traditional way he went to the Find a Friend station near the playground, but instead of finding a friend his age he discovered Mr. Nern. I also think he wrote this book to give kids who can't read as well an opportunity to read a book all the way through and not stop half way through.

The point of view of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck” is in first person point of view. The Narrator of the story is Greg Heffley, whom is the main character who goes through all of the problems.

In the beginning of the story Greg says, “But now that there’s a girl in the picture, things are totally different.” This is important to the story because before there was a girl Greg and Rowley did whatever they want, but since there has been a girl in the picture Rowley has been controlled by her. Greg says in the story “I always thought the Find a Friend station was a lame idea, but it’s not like I have a lot of options these days.” This is important to the story because Greg never needed help finding friends, but now he has to go to the Find a Friend station. It is also important because at the end of the story he finds Rowley at the Find a Friend
