The MIND (Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay) diet is a specifically designed diet to improve the brain health by preventing dementia and loss of brain function that happens as we age. MIND diet, as the name suggests, combines the two of the most effective diet approaches i.e. Mediterranean diet and the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet to create a new dietary pattern that dedicatedly focuses on brain health.

Some of the simple instructions of MIND diet are-
It promotes eating healthy foods such as whole grains, beans, nuts, green leafy vegetables, fish, poultry, berries etc.
Adding Olive oil to provide the healthy fat content
Unhealthy food items should be limited like only one serving of cheese, fried or fast food, less than four servings of red meat; less than three servings of sweets etc
Minimizing the butter consumption to less than one tablespoon a day
