Sometimes when participating in peaceful resistance, issues can get blown out of proportion. The adrenalin rush accompanied by being surrounded by like-minded people can often send them into a spiral of anger at the system. One example of this idea is shown in one of the articles mentioned above, "Edward Snowden is No Hero" by Jeffrey Tobin. Tobin mentions the idea that protest of laws incites others to do so and end up ruining more of the system. While it is good to stand up for what you believe in, there are many other ways to impact society without all the consequences any kind of protest (peaceful or otherwise) can have. This same rush to find other like minded people to protest with (however peaceful the protest) does so while simultaneously excluding others. One solid way to make changes in a free society is rallying behind one, united front, and unless on is careful, doing so alienates all other parties. All in all, peaceful protest negatively impacts society through division, anger, and net
