Harry Potter Dichotomy

Harry Potter is one of those types of novels that everybody all around the world has heard about, kind of like Romeo and Juliet or Titanic, etc. It’s a seven-series-novel that has been made into movies by Warner Bros. Pictures with the last book split into two films. You can find elders, middle-agers, adults, teenagers or even little kids loving Harry Potter. When a new book, or a movie was coming out, you could hear everybody talking about it for weeks, months, or even years on the internet, in magazines, or on the radio, etc. So, you’re probably wondering, what makes Harry Potter so popular and well-known?

The series just have so many characters that anybody would eventually find a character to relate to. Beside being relatable, the story is also loved for its’ wonderful dichotomy. On a superficial level, it is a story of an unremarkable boy who was destined to do great things, who makes some really great friends in his school, does some really brave and stupid things, loses many people close to him, finally understands what true bravery is, faces his fear risking death, for the safety of his friends and ultimately fulfills his destiny. But on a deeper level, it’s a story of stories, it’s a story of how even the best power can corrupt (Voldemort), it is a story of unrequited love - of a man for a woman (Snape and Lily), of a mother for her son (Lily and Harry), of twin brothers (Fred and George). It is a story of friendships (Harry, Ron, and Hermione), of betrayal (Wormtail) and of courage (Snape and Neville). It’s a huge life lesson from one of the wisest characters in literature (Dumbledore) and a story of pain and loss (Fred, Remus, Tonks, Hedwig, Dobby and Sirius). Another reason add
