The generation of children who were separated from their families under these policies became to be known as the “Stolen Generation”. Not only this, their names were changed in this process, and they were punished for speaking their traditional language. It was a lot easier for the younger children to adjust in the new surroundings while difficult for the older ones where firstly, they had to learn to speak English in order to communicate with their new family members. They were also educated to wear Englishman’s cloths such as, pants and shirts. While on the other hand with their biological parents, they used to wear very little clothing on their body as you can see it on the left side of picture 2. They were being educated completely different ways of surviving in Australia while their elder generations had different ways of living compare to an Englishman. For example, Indigenous people fed their children plants, animals, and, insects foods including ants, grubs, and beetles.
