This is when we can see the theme of misogyny in this story. This is something that’s relatable for any women that reads this story. Often in marriage women will conform to exactly what their husbands want. They lose their own voice and ability to voice their opinions and what they truly want. This is what we see in “The Yellow Wallpaper. In a way the husband is preventing her from fully developing and becoming better. Instead he is enabling her to go insane. It is typical in society for males to feel they have superior knowledge to the females and think they know what 's best when in this case it is only hurting the narrator rather than helping her. In this story the husband brushes aside everything she says about what’s good for her. She has no one but her husband to listen to her personal opinions and care for her. What I take away from this is my own feeling of self importance, and the importance of me making my own decisions, and to not let any man dictate what I do, which is something that I think is valuable for any human to learn. As a female this story was a good read because it made me think of the society we live in and the role of women in
