Aldi’s does not use national name brand and/or popular brands products. However, they use private label products because the companies have lower prices which saves the consumers money. Their “no frills” model is actually working, but currently, Aldi’s operate 1,500 stores in 32 states and plans to open up 500 more locations this year creating 10,000 new jobs. Aldi’s “no-frills” business model has its pros and its con’s. From cutting back on all the perks that typically supermarkets offers such as multiple checks out options, free buggies and plastic bags, stock workers. Aldi’s also places barcodes repeated over the package, for easy scanning. This eliminates wasted time in the checkout line. With all these lean factors put in place to reduce
