Addressing these individuals first eliminates confusion when filling out paperwork, thus cutting down on the amount of errors. Additionally, this would include assessing individuals who are barely above the federal poverty level. Addressing and finding adequate insurance for these individuals is first and foremost the most important task before others can be addressed. Moreover, this will help social work practices by eliminating errors, and thus creating a steady stream of individuals with the same issue instead of having individuals with multiple problems in different areas. The second recommendation I would recommend would be to evaluates each individual’s situation and determine what type of preventive services that each client may need. It gives those that would not be able to access healthcare a chance at gaining the same quality of care that those who are able to afford healthcare and those who are able to access a facility in case of an emergency have. The Affordable Care Act is indeed saying that these individuals are equal and deserve the same amount of healthcare as their counterparts. Furthermore, the idea of social justice as stated in the NASW, aims at helping people find the help the need while also addressing the problems they have and finding the resources that could be used in order to help them become successful.
