Introduction
In this extended essay, I will answer the research question “What will be the future of Wal–mart in India?”.Wal-Mart is kind of a retail store that helps everyone around the world. Its mission statement “We save people money so they can live better”. Wal-Mart was open by Sam Walton in 1962; and then Sam Walton and his brother James Walton they first opened Wal-Mart in Arkansas. From that time, in the world Wal-Mart has been the second largest company and has many operations that are international too. Michael established this analysis for strategic planning for a competitive environment to support it. He also developed this theory for different companies to stay in the market for longer time. There are five forces; threats of new entrants, threats of substitutes, bargaining power of suppliers, bargaining power of buyers and the intensity of competitions in the industry which regulates the attractiveness of the market and even the competitive intensity. PEST stands for P- Political, E- Economic, S- Social, T- Technological factors, “which are used to assess the market for a business or organizational unit” (PEST Market Analysis - Businessballs). It is an analysis accurately about business environmental analysis, but it is not important having environment itself, but how it is affecting the business positively or negatively anyhow. PG: 302

• Strong opposition from local government against multinational retailer to start their operation in India example BJP.
• Wal-Mart has been at times subjected to political action law suit. E- (Economical)
• The US has its plan to moderate the increase of supercenters in order to leverage capital assets through a plan which is designed to increase returns and sales in U.S. stores. This is likely to affect Wal-Mart.
