The people of Texas voted that they wanted voting with identification due to there being more Republicans in the state then Democrats (McManus). These republicans are strict of what they want to have required. They would like to have the government involved in what they can be able to do and they also want them to block out the minority completely. The democrats on the other hand, they want the government not to be involved at all with the way that they are able to vote. The reason there is photo identification requirements is because people need to prove that they are eligible to be able to vote (McManus). This will not be able to help some citizens of the United States because they are unable to show identification due to not having anything that shows that they are a citizen such as a driver 's license or a passport. This will also block out people that want to vote but are too poor to afford something such as photo identification. In areas outside the United States require voting with identification since there is no such thing as internet or computers in those areas (McManus). This shows that we are not like other countries because we have the technology and the ways to vote without having to require to show photo identification. This will also prevent people such as african americans and other ethnicities. This shows how the majority will attempt to block out the minority due to them wanting what they want but people are also starting to stray away from voting as well due to
