Unemploying Credibility

Credibility: When employing Credibility, the writer attempts to convince the reader(s) that he is an informed source of information, and that his are derived from firsthand knowledge regarding the subject in question. I have to imagine that credibility is something that anyone except comedians strives to achieve. In the business world, I don't think I've ever written anything in which I didn't strive to convince the reader(s) that I was a credible source of information. The few times in which I have found myself attempting to convince other people to invest money with me, I felt compelled to be extremely credible, as I'm sure you can imagine.

Expectation Regarding Expectation, the writer is attempting to inform his reader(s) of what they can expect from him, or his organization. The salesman, the politician, and the promoter all live in this realm. For certain endeavors, a strong message regarding what the reader can expect is essential. My personal experience with this particular technique is a little slim, on a professional level.

Reference A message based on reference is exactly what it sounds like it is. The writer is attempting to provide his reader(s) with additional

For instance, if you were to make the statement that production method B was superior to production method A, you might also include a set of production of numbers which demonstrated that overall production had increased, while employing production method B. Now if the writer was in possession of two sets of numbers, and decided to print the set that supported his message, even though the other numbers told a different story, this would probably constitute "double speak"; which we already know is bad thing. It would be difficult for me to make an argument of any sort, without employing the Emphasis technique. I feel like I use it on a daily
