Expectation Regarding Expectation, the writer is attempting to inform his reader(s) of what they can expect from him, or his organization. The salesman, the politician, and the promoter all live in this realm. For certain endeavors, a strong message regarding what the reader can expect is essential. My personal experience with this particular technique is a little slim, on a professional level.

For instance, if you were to make the statement that production method B was superior to production method A, you might also include a set of production of numbers which demonstrated that overall production had increased, while employing production method B. Now if the writer was in possession of two sets of numbers, and decided to print the set that supported his message, even though the other numbers told a different story, this would probably constitute "double speak"; which we already know is bad thing.
