Experts say that childhood experiences shape not just the child but also the adult. Think about your own childhood. Was it happy? Did you know the adults in your life loved you? What are the things that help you know you grew up in a loving home? Many of us think we’ve had a mostly positive childhood experience with a few dips on the experience curve. Those dips are mostly related to the death of my beloved family pets or the first time you got your broke my heart. But for some people, those dips are significant and shape their future.
Typical Childhood Development
Children grow and develop at different rates. While their pathways through childhood differ, most pass a set of predictable milestones along the way. There are four areas of developmental milestone requirements which play a significant role to a typical childhood development.
• Physical Development: From the beginning, babies want to explore their world. They are zealous to move their eyes, their mouths, and their bodies toward the people and objects that comfort and interest them.
