This study violated the principle “respect for person”, first, we see that they used poor black men, who are not educated and lived in a place where medical care was not plenty to all. Second, the experiment representative, nurse Evers, did not explain to the participants what that they had syphilis instead, she said that they had “bad blood”, also not be told that they were going to be in an experiment or research, lastly, they were not given the chance to choose to whether to participate or not.
