Zika Virus is a disease that is being transmitted by mosquitos. The disease was first identified in Uganda in 1947 in anthropoids.Then, it was first identified in humans in 1952. Outbreak of the Zika Virus has been recorded in the Americas, Asia, Africa, and the Pacific. It was recorded in America in 2015. There were two cases that the Zika Virus was passed through sexual intercourse, and one case where Zika was found in semen of a human. There are multiple ways of prevention, treatment, and ways to help not only the baby ,but also their parents.
There are different ways that someone can get the Zika Virus. The main way is when someone gets bitten by a mosquito that is infected with the Zika Virus. Nowadays, there are infants that are not

If someone is infected with the Zika Virus, they are recommended to get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids, and treat pain and fever with the common medicine. The Zika Virus is not something to play with. It is very dangerous. The symptoms of the Zika Virus are that the person with start to have a skin rash, fever, conjunctivitis, muscle and joint pain, malaise, dengue, and a bad headache. People are encouraged as soon as they start noticing that they have the symptoms, they need to go to the doctor right …show more content…
With the Zika Virus, the infant will be born with an abnormally small head and brain. “If the brain is really, really small, it 's more likely the child will have severe disability...” (Birth pg.1). With the Zika Virus, newborns have small heads. The infants will be disable for the rest of its life. “Affected children will require early developmental intervention, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, as well as daily medications to control seizures and other neuromuscular conditions.” (Birth pg.1). As it says in the quote, the child is going to have to have a lot of assistance for the rest of its’ life. The child will not be able to really function on it’s own. It will need 24-hour assistance. They will need someone there to change its’ diaper, feed it, and do whatever else that needs to be
