The parents in the “Old Grandfather And The Little Grandson” do not let the grandfather eat at the table because he is so sloppy. On page 488 line 7, he breaks a bowl and the parents scold him and make him use a wooden dish. Knowing that he cannot do much, they force him to sit in the corner and do not pay him any attention.
