I liked how they showed their life in their music because it was so engaging, and got everyone’s attention. It shows the racial discrimination that coloured people go through, and it was so strong. Personally, what I really liked about Straight Outta’ Compton was that there was no peaceful resistance, it was all aggressive behavior. Peaceful resistance was successful in history events like Parihaka, Black Civil Rights Movement, and Gandhi’s Movement, however I think the authorities deserved a little aggression from NWA because I don’t think it’s fair to give them peace. I do think peaceful resistance is effective however I think NWA gained more power by being aggressive. I think by NWA being so strong, and saying F*** Tha Police, it made them even stronger, and more powerful towards the authorities, and this got the action they needed. I could easily link this to society as I believe society's stereotypes have taken wars on gangs by police, which is basically a war on the young black youth that looked like gang members. I think that even though this was a film of the past, it's still talking about the
