Humanism seems like the most useful theory to me because it looks at what intrinsic motivation an individual has and the underlying reasons for why they are doing what they are doing. Humanism works hand in hand with Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs the main need that humanism works with the need of self-actualization (Huber, 2013.) Which is the underlying want in human beings to succeed and do their best in their field because it brings on feelings of accomplishment and satisfaction. Self-actualization is a great motivational force because no one has the capability to be 100 percent perfect in everything they do. So there will always be room for improvement and learning as a person takes on the task of making themselves better.

Behaviorism is said to be more about the end pleasure of performing a task or doing a job and it downplays the actual work that goes into it because the work portion is not as rewarding (Huber, 2013.) I see work as extremely rewarding and it is easy to see in a person that worked their butt of to complete something and upon completion it is met with praise and held in high regard. All of those long hours and tough work have paid off and it feels extremely rewarding and can develop an intrinsic motivation to feel that sense of pride an accomplishment again and again.
Cognitivism, I was going back and forth between cognitivism and humanism and which one I would select to use. I ended up not going with cognitivism because it focuses more on a need to learn something new and master a completely new concept. And it works more off of a see first and try later approach which is not something I feel was applicable in the situation presented in the question.
Social Cognitive Learning, I did not choose this theory because it focuses on imitating someone who is inspirational to the person (Huber, 2013.) Which is hard to accomplish in a room full of equal staff members where none of whom is considered a superstar by their peers. It can be used to a certain degree as to where if a staff member sees their peer do something they like they may want to imitate the behavior but it is not the most effective way to tackle the situation stated above.
