Every criminal’s reasons for committing a crime may vary considerably, which is no mystery given all of the different reasons that have been amassed over the years of study; Biological, Sociological, Psychological; each of these main categories of study have a plethora of reasons for why a person is inclined to criminal behavior, knowing this, it is understandable that there is still much debate on the subject at hand. The purpose of this research paper is to enlighten people about all of the different reasons that criminals commit crimes, and through that hopefully it will shed some light on why scholars have difficulty agreeing about the causes of crime. No matter what the cause of one crime is, another crime might be totally different, or may have the same cause as the first as well as several others. For this paper the order of topics will go as such: Biological, Psychological, and Sociological.When one looks at criminal behavior from a Biological standpoint there are a certain number of things that can go wrong that lead to criminal behavior, one such thing would be if a person had malfunctioning neurotransmitters, which, according to medicinenet.com a neurotransmitter is “A chemical that is released from a nerve cell which thereby transmits an impulse from a nerve cell to another nerve, muscle, organ, or other tissue.
