“The Pursuit of Happiness” is a drama film based on a true story. It narrates the plot of a man called Christopher Gardner who invests all his savings in new bone density scanners without even realizing how useless and difficult they are to sell.
As a result of his financial instability, he loses pretty much everything: house, friends, well-being in general and even his wife who decides to go somewhere else for better opportunities of employment. Having no other choice but to live in the streets with his son, his situation escalates to another level of complexity.
Looking everywhere for a job with just a high school degree, he decides to focus on becoming a stockbroker in one of the most important insurance companies in the city. The luckiness that he gets by meeting one of the highest bosses of the previously mentioned company gives him the opportunity to be interviewed and even taken as an intern for a 6 month training.
However, 6 months of training without salary, long nights of studying and increasing debts become some of the multiple challenges that he has to face every day in order to get the job in the same time as providing for him and his son.
Finally, with almost nothing left, Chris ends up earning the job which gives him and his son a new chance in life.
