At the turn of the 21st-century, attitudes toward marriage equality and gay rights started shifting; more and more Americans started to display their public approval of same-sex marriage and LGBT rights realizing its moral and ethical capacities. In fact, recent polling statistics currently show a little over half of Americans (51%) agree that homosexuality is an innate characteristic, and 63% of Americans today feel that gay relations are morally acceptable (Jones 1). This is spectacular news because these poll results show that progress for acceptance is well under way. Also, as we moved deeper into the 21st-century we saw a shockingly increasing number of famous celebrities, talk show hosts, athletes and public figures come forward about their sexual orientation. After all, God made no mistake when he created each and every one of us and it is undoubtingly true that each and every one of us was created in his image! It is up to us to live our truth the way God made us out to be.
