Most summers I visit Mexico, my mother’s home country, to visit friends and family, and to just enjoy a vastly different life than mine in New York. But the normal, everyday people in these countries are not like that at all. They’re a hardworking, friendly people. These are the people most fed up with crime here. It angers me to know that the savage criminals in these countries ruin these beautiful countries’ image. Many foreigners would fear coming here, and have every reason to do so. I am lucky to live in America. My cousin recognized this saying “You’re going to be safe, away in New York soon. I’m going to be stuck in here forever.” That is the opinion of countless people. They know that there is no way out from this life, it’s just something normal and painful to live through. It’s gotten worse too. I would’ve never expected this type of crime to happen in my little Mexican town, but hearing from people it’s believed that these crimes are happening because criminals from other big cities are coming here to be cancerous to even more parts of Mexico. It hurts me so much that this happens, but I don’t see it getting better anytime
