After carefully analyzing my results from the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Strengths Finder and Holland Code, I now obtain a stronger understanding of myself as an individual and a learner. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator provided me with my four personalities which allowed me to thoroughly investigate each particular word and learn how I approach different scenarios. Before taking the type indicator exam, I knew how I operated as an individual and student but I was unaware of the specific words that stood behind my personalty. Now when people ask me, “tell me about yourself” or “how do you operate," I have strong and accurate vocabulary to use. The strengths finder is very similar to the Myer’s Briggs in the sense that it describes me. With the strengths finder, I discovered my top five strengths and confirmed that those words best describe me. For example, in class we were broken down into small groups and were asked to construct a spaghetti tower. Given that my group was made up of individuals with strengths in each domain, we were all able to use our individual strengths yet work collaboratively with each other. I found that this exercise confirmed my strengths as we were asked to preform a task with various rules as well as a time restriction. Due to the fact that there were others involved, I found that my strengths played a key role in my participation and how I approached the task. The last investigation we did was the Holland Code.
