- The United States is the leading country in civil rights. Its citizens have far more liberties and opportunities than anywhere else. If national security is threatened, I believe that our civil liberties should be violated if warranted. The Government should have necessary access to prevent domestic terrorism. The world today is a very dangerous place, and we must do everything possible to combat any challenges we face, even if civil liberties are violated.
