This paper has discussed the coherent waste problems with the emphasis on non recyclable plastics that our modern society is currently dealing with. The only way that she can successfully begin to solve this problem is to educate our communities and make them aware of of difference that they can make. This type of education process has to begin at school. We have begun this process in the lower level schools with educating students on how to recycle, but we have yet to explain them why we recycle. This is why we need an education program that will teach this valuable lesson. The program that will be implemented is a sustainable city project. That is a part of leadership programs such as Boys /Girls State or GRC type programs. The social cognitive theory would best describe this program for the reason that in these types of settings, students tend to pay more …show more content…
The written portion will describe what natural resource they have and what are the native species in their city. They will be required to have a plan of action of how these resources and animals will be protected. They will also be required to give a plan of where they will place their landfill and recycling center. They will also tell what type of items that will be accepted to their recycling center. They will give the economics of how much they have to pay to make sure that the landfill and recycling center are built accordingly. They will also have to give submit a report of how much it will cost to maintain both to make sure they are running as efficiently as possible. They will also have to submit a list of ordinances for their city to abide by. Depending on their reports of how much garbage and recycling being collected there will be pollution and cost reports figured out by counselors to declare who has built the cleanest
