No other countries knew about the killing centers, not even the prisoners knew they were going to be murdered before they were gassed to death. The prisoners were told they were going to take showers, see their loved ones, or something that they would enjoy, having no idea they were about to have their life taken .When the United States did find out about the camps, they did have an impact. The United States didn’t find out until the end of the war, but when they did find out they would free the innocent civilians from being held captive. If the United States found out earlier it is reasonable to believe that they would have freed camps sooner. The reason the United States didn’t have an impact on what was happening earlier was because they didn’t know, this was kept a secret for years. The holocaust, the absolute murder of anybody who lived in Germany and was not either genetically superior, good looking enough, young enough, or strong enough to work would be killed, as so many unfortunately were. The most absurd part about the whole event is that the world had no idea this was happening. The question has to be asked: How is that possible and why didn’t the countries who did know do anything? Many countries in the world remained silent because they had their own problems that they were focused on at the time. However not all countries stood beside the United States, but as soon as they did find out, they did what they could to help the innocent people.
