However, from a scientific perspective it is a change in global climate pattern, and it is a long-term change in average weather conditions that is most affected by human activities. According to the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the carbon dioxide is 40% higher than preindustrial times. It can be stated that the main concept of climate change is the increase levels of carbon dioxide, produced by the use of fossil fuels and human activities. According to Brown, raising sea levels are due the massive and accelerate rate of ice-melt. Many of ice are decreasing which would affect us negatively and this would increase the Earth temperature. Everything in this world is for a reason and if one of these are missed than our ecosystem would be affected negatively and many issues would arise. Moreover, Brown mentioned about that climate change affect our economics because of the natural disaster and because of the increase in temperature. The reason is that when temperature increase, many of our food production would be affected and then a lot of people could not afford to buy food such as people in poor countries. Brown plan is to stable the world population at 8 billion by 2040. The reason is that there are a lot of things that should be considered rather than carbon dioxide. So, by stabilizing population we will help to decrease population such as in China. China is known for their air population because of the industrial practices. They also violate the carrying capacity theory, which means that the limits of a specific land’s capability to support people and their activities.
LEED is one of the organizations that recognize the effects of climate change. They establish categories for new building construction and design to be more environmental friendly. They certified building and rate them silver, gold, and platinum. This shows that the building is using recycle materials and produce less carbon dioxide by selecting local materials.
