1. The overall trends in the position statements posted for this assignment about the use of fMRI technologies; included mind reading and criminal justice. Some aspects of fMRI technologies were supported by others; they supported the use of fMRI technologies in criminal justice. However, many aspects of fMRI technologies raised concerns for the majority of the others; they unsupported the use of fMRI technologies for mind reading.

2. Connor Eakin posted the strongest, most persuasive and argumentative position statement shared by my views on fMRI technologies. He offered the strongest logic and best example of critical thinking because he supported his claim, which demonstrated critical thinking concepts that were discussed in the critical thinking booklet. For example, Connor’s position statement showed critical thinking because of his clear purpose and concept. In his purpose, he writes, “In my personal opinion, fMRI is only ethical in certain situations.” Connor offers a concept by writing, “fMRI technology needs to be used… interviewing a murder suspect.” Both purpose and concept are linked between Connor’s statement and the critical thinking booklet.
