All of a sudden out of no where, you could feel the dust between your teeth and the storm had started.It coated everything in a thick cover of dust everything the table the plates even the cat. We used to have a beautiful luscious green farm and my father was a great farmer. When the drought came and our family was already in a little trouble from the stock crash of 1929. My dad left us for a new life, because our farm was doing so bad and the drought was awful. I think he left because he didn’t want to take care of a failing farm so he just left it to us. It hit our little town like a freight train, none of us were prepared. The dust came and the sky turned black, everything was quiet. Then the powerful winds blew the door open of our large white farmhouse, that we forgot to lock because we didn’t think the storm would come today but it did. My mother ordered me and my little brother to take cover, who at the time was only four and I only eleven we were both scared for our lives and we did as our mother told us, not knowing what would happen
