The death penalty is a punishment of execution given to someone who has been legally convicted of a capital crime. Death penalty to me is executing one 's actions against another, some may think the death penalty is revenge. When using the death penalty it’s costing more to put people on death row than to keep them in prison (Death Penalty:Essay Research).
There are 5 different methods, execution. There are lethal injections, electrocution, lethal gas, firing squad, and hanging. Lethal injection is the practice of injecting a combination of poisons into a person with a fatal dose of drugs (typically a barbiturate, paralytic, and potassium solution) for the express purpose of causing immediate death. Electrocution is death caused by electric shock, electric current passing through the body. The word is derived from "electro" and "execution", but it is also used for accidental death. Gas Chamber is an airtight room that can be filled with poisonous gas as a means of execution. Hanging is the act, an instance, or the form of capital punishment carried out by suspending one by the neck from a gallows, gibbet, or the like, until dead. Firing Squad is the execution by shooting is a fairly old practice. Some reasons for its use are that firearms are usually readily available and a gunshot to a vital organ usually kills relatively quickly (Methods of Execution).
