If I remember correctly there was a little bit of snow on the ground, although there wasn’t enough to deter my father. It took him a while, but he was finally able to maneuver the old van out of our driveway. (One of the very defining characteristics of my father was that he was very stubborn, something that my mother brought up frequently). I was actually very disappointed by this turn of events. I guess that it shouldn’t have been a big surprise considering my grandmother mostly reads in her spare time. However, I did appreciate how beautiful the book was. The binding was a purple that looked like it would have been worn by royalty and the cover was a deep crimson red. On the cover there was gold swords embossed into the cover. The book itself wasn’t very old, however the story contained within was. The title of the book was The Three Musketeers. The book really was beautiful, however it was still a book. It was because of this that as soon as I got home I put the book up into my closet to gather dust. It stayed there for a few
