Dr.Gomilion made it a point to not drag out the deep scientific jargon, smothering us as students and quickly causing us to loose interest. I believe this proved to be very benefical for her, and, in the long run, became the reason I chose to write my essay about her topic. Dr.Gomilion did a fantastic job at keeping me interested. Tissue engineering proved to be a very appealing subject to me. Growing up as a doctor’s kid, my entire life has been consumed with medical related topics and the want to help others. Dr.Gomilion proposed this idea flawlessly through her discussions of how she got where she is today and why she chose to take that specific route to get there. Through the discussion of her research and how it is geared to direct patient results is very encouraging. I believe one of the biggest fears I had of not perusing medical school was the thought of not being able to medically make a difference ion people lives with my degree.
