For example, When the author says “I felt like Roger had kicked me in the face. That was the most racist thing I 'd ever heard in my life.” What this quote is saying is that the author had never before in his entire life have heard an insult so racist that would make him so mad. Roger not only insult him but also insult his whole tribe and all the Indians. This quote supports that Arnold has been a victim of racism in his school for being an Indian. In his other school, they would make fun of him but never because of his race.
Not only Arnold school is racist, but the town is also racist, Reardan town doesn’t treat Indians very well.
