“My head was so big that little Indian skulls orbited around it. Some of the kids called me orbit. And other kids just called me Globe. The bullies would pick me up, spin me in circles, put their finger down on my skull, and say, “I want to go there.” (Alexie 3) He was born with a condition that caused him to have extra cerebral spinal fluid in his skull. He had to get the fluid removed from his skull when he was only six months old. He had ten extra teeth, and his hands and feets were too large for his body. Most people might think it’s cool that he survived the procedure and is fully functional. Instead the community he lives in teases him for it, and he is constantly bullied for it.
