I will identify Te whare tapa wha theory which is related to Maori health model. This model was discovered by Mason Durie in 1982 and published in 2001. As changing circumstances have an impact on her wellbeing and in her moving away from her whanua. She lost her origin, identity, culture and social environment. Also, Kate was sexually abused and completely disconnected from whanua. In this condition, she could not express her feelings to anyone. She was suffering from mental depression, lower self-esteem, loneliness, anger and anxiety. If people do not feel psychologically happy or secure, it has an effect on all the dimensions of a person’s well-being. Through this process I will acknowledge her views and wishes for the future. At present Kate wants to give birth to her child and to live a healthy family life but she is finically insecure. According to the epistemology practice, by knowing and understanding Kate’s past and present condition, this would be my moral obligation to advocate her problem in a positive way. I believe that in this condition, she needs love, care and guidance which will make her strong. I will try to engage Kate in her own cultural values and beliefs whereby she would be able to rebuild her relationship with whanua and social environment. As Kate had spiritual connection with her ancestral land and extended whanua where she grew up, the strongest part would be her relationship with all that again wherein she will feel more secure and supportive of her elders and would be able to make a required move to her new
