Goal: increase the line efficiency.
Objective: cases per labor hour 64 (64 cases/labor hour), 2015 target, in 2014 it was 56.
Before April 2015 we archive that target.
Strategies:
Management provide funds to buy machine part to increase line efficiency.
Supervisors and leads launch intensive training program to the machine operators. Gave ownership to the operator run the machine during her/his shift.
Allocate best performing operator to run that particular machine
Quality team members develop start up procedure and did vigorous quality checks and minimize reworks. Last 150 days, there are no rework incidents. Example

Assigned high performance operator for the particular machine – flexibility of the employees. Some machine is hard to operate compare to the other machine. However employees flexible to new tasks.

I would like to share some strategies the organization is using to remind the employee about values, mission and vision. The management provide mouse pad and mugs for each employee. They can see every time while in the workplace.
