If someone feels the urge to write inappropriate posts on social media, I suggest they walk away from the screen because it may just cost them their job. More and more employees are being fired due to their misconduct on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Rules and contracts about what social media posts, while employed by certain companies, are starting to show up across the country. In the article of Ms. Rubino posting that she hated her students’ guts, it states, “Ms. Rubino compounded her problems by trying to cover up and deny the online outbursts” (Gonchar). Even though she later got her job back, she lost it for some time and lost a lot of credibility and respect. Employees should never doubt that all of their posts can be seen by whomever wants to see
