From the Private Journal of a Journey
The events of American history are very much connected to the influence of American literature and what it has become today. The effects of the world around him/her mostly gather the inspiration that a writer needs, and this is how the geography and history of America have made an impact on American literature.
When beginning to read From the Private Journal of a Journey by Sarah Kemble Knight I learned that it was a private note she had wrote in her journal which was later on published. I learned that Sarah is a very direct woman that wants to get to the point with no fooling around. To me she seamed like a real tomboy. What I also liked about her was that her note was very easy to read and understand. It is also all original; all what was on the top of her mind at the time the journal was written. I

This journal gives people the faith that thing will work out for them. It is hard to believe that they had all the resources that they did. Sarah kept on fighting and she got to where she wanted to be. She should be a hero to the people in today’s society because I do not believe that any American woman today could do what she did. It just goes to show that the women of the past were a lot tougher then the women of the future. I think that her journey serves as a positive experience. I feel that people can look back in this experience and believe in themselves more. If you want to do something just have faith in yourself and you will always peruse your dreams. I feel that people should always write a journal of their big life events and journeys. I really enjoy reading about the life events that people have, especially if I have never experienced it. I think that this journal should have a major impact on the people that read it because today a journey like this would never take
