I have always believed myself to be a strong writer, but also I know that I do make mistakes in my writings that could truly be fixed easily. My weaknesses and mistakes can be easily pointed out, and most of them are really simple to the point that if I did put my mind to it, that I could really fix them without problem. One of my major weaknesses that I noticed not only in the writings but also just over the course of the semester in general, is that I tend to rush myself with my writings and with this stupid mistakes were made. Whether it is really something as simple as missing a comma or spelling a word wrong, it is something that I have noticed and I have began to work on more. As the semester progressed, I allowed myself more time to sit down and really focus on the task at hand. This truly seemed to benefit me greatly. One other weakness that I have, I struggle with the proofreading aspect. This sort of goes hand in hand with what I previously stated. I am aware that I do rush myself, but at the same time I do not allow myself the time to go back and read back over it. At times, I struggle to find these mistakes I do make and they stick out when I do have the chance to look at the essays now. This is something that truly needs to be continually worked on, and over the course of the semester I began to really dig into myself and forced myself to go back and fix any mistake that I possibly could. Being able to break down these stories and use them in many ways is nothing short of amazing. Being able to identify certain aspects such as themes, and what makes a character the way they are makes reading great. Being able to see those also makes the readings more relatable. When one is able to bring the relatable aspects into there life, it can be truly inspiring. It seems like it is almost undeniable that stories can truly inspire people, and provide them with an example to follow to better not only themselves but others.
