I chose “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Jefferson Starship because it is a love song, and it is one of those “Mushy” love songs. One of the verses of this song says “Let Em’ Say we’re crazy, I don’t care ‘bout that. Put your hand in my hand, Baby, don’t ever look back.” This definitely explains the relationship between Christian and Satine. Christian asks Satine to run away with him. start their own lives. He wants them to leave what they know behind and move on and start a new. He doesn’t care what Zidler says, nor what the Duke will have to say. All he wants to do is run with her. (This would be there perfect song to play when he initially asks her.)

I chose the song “Ironic” because the entire song is about ironic situations. In my alternative ending in the Moulin Rouge, I added a few multiple ironic situations. One of these ironic situations is when they go out to the train and it starts to pour. This moment is supposed to be a happy moment, yet the rain is supposed to be a “mood crashing” situation.
