Learning the meaning of outrage is a key component to making a difference; a strong feeling of anger. To create outrage, something has to persuade the young American people to support and join together to make a change. In order for outrage to happen the young society needs to want to make a change and not be so self absorbed. Outrage is important due to the fact that it gives the person’s motivation to want to make a change, and do something towards it. As Hessel stated, “We, the veterans of the Resistance movements and fighting forces of Free France, call for the younger generations to revive and carry forward the tradition of the Resistance and its ideas.” Hessel basically calls us all out to take action towards our lousy so called a united generation.
