Introduction
Recent research shows evidence of the need for integration of patients' spiritual needs alongside medication. This has been shown to improve healing despite there being controversy on the issue among physicians as well as other scientists. However, each spiritual need of each patient needs different assessment differently since people vary when this matter is put forward. Spirituality and religion are very sensitive matters and if approached wrongly, can yield bad results. Thus starting with a good and timely assessment tool is crucial.

It is clear that a patient's expectations, as well as emotions, can be detected using spiritual assessment and reflection. However, different responses are expected other than the one indicated in this transcript. Despite this is can be advised that spiritual assessment is done on each patient and if a possible change in thought and expectation be induced in the patients with or without medication but with high regard to ethics. The patient was cooperative and willing to speak his heart out. This is the moment when people have time to look deeper into their lives and diseases that may yield stress. Thus this assessment is usually important and needs to be encouraged and regularly done by nurses and other health caregivers. Challenges will never lack but looking at the eventual outcome with ethics in full consideration; it's usually worth giving a try with medication inclusive.
