Irony is a literary term that can easily captivate and excite us. In general, the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect. Irony is encountered throughout our daily activities and there are three different kinds of irony displayed; verbal, situational, and cosmic. Verbal irony is the most occurring and familiar kind, this occurs when we understand that the speaker's meaning is far from the usual meaning; an exaggeration. Throughout Enchanted, the use of irony is spotted in many distinct ways, yet, not everyone knows it.
