Sir Sayyid Ahmad Khan, was born on 17 October 1817 in Delhi and died on 27 March 1898. He earned reputation as a distinguished scholar. He cared about Muslims community in India since the British colonists started religious racism and isolated Muslims from educational curricula. He expected that if we remained without a policy that protects our rights and country they will be destroyed. He had a clear vision about education and how to keep a balance between modern education and the ethnic identity of the Muslims (Waseem, 2014).
Background
Sir Sayyid considered to be a reformer, visionary and being a very important figure for regenerating the Indian Muslims at a time when they were at their weakest and lowest (Islam, 1990). The British held the Muslims as the sole proprietors of the 1847 Mutiny and the Muslims regarded themselves as victims of British oppression and saw the activities of British missionaries as a ploy to convert Muslims to Christianity (Waseem,2014).
