It is revealed that Chet stole the idea of the show Everlasting from Quinn, but when Quinn attempted to take legal action, she was brushed off and labeled as crazy by Chet’s lawyer. Quinn, however, is an intelligent woman and uses the fact that Chet is a vacuous male against him and gets him to admit that she is the true creator of the show, but in the end, she winds up with a mere 40% ownership of Everlasting; which is a clear reference to how a woman can work immensely more than a man and still wind up with less. In the episode that followed, Quinn tells Chet that she will be the one to pitch the next season of Everlasting to the network, he agrees to let her, but only if he is able to be there as well. At the meeting, Quinn diligently crafted and prepared her pitch, but the network executive was clearly bored, that is, until Chet commenced a parade of childish comments about boobs and double-d supermodels. In episode 7 of UnReal, the aftermath of Mary’s suicide causes the network to halt production of the show.
