This paper addresses the strategic planning issues (#5) in Seacrest Acres. A newly combined Long-Term Care Facility that undergoes the process of change and faces many issues such as financial constraints, overloaded work, staff shortage, lack of trust and communication, employee disengagement, lack of performance management system that resulted in dissatisfied, and unmotivated, and unempowered managerial and non-managerial employees.
It is believed employee engagement is the main cause and solution of the many issues that Seacrest Acres faces. Although it is not an easy task and need an organizational commitment; the success of Seacrest Acres is directly tied to how well employees embrace new initiatives, and how well they commit to aligning
