Saskatoon has lost even some of it’s most significant early pieces.
The ‘Marr Residence’ was the “Second Empire” in Saskatoon and the oldest building, built in 1884. It was also one of the several houses occupied as a field hospital during the “North West Rebellion” in 1885.
There was an original ‘King Edward School’, the first large school in Saskatoon, built in 1904, but was later demolished in 1956 to make room for a new City Hall.
