The majority of people in this day and age work on Tuesdays. Between registered electorates that did not ballot in the 2012 election, approximately 1 in 5 said things came up or had something to do. One probable fix to this would be to make Election Day a national holiday. This would give most employees the day off and make it much easier to get to a voting station. Also, holding elections over a weekend would also aid those that meet transportation difficulties, sickness or simply forget to vote by giving them a sort of a backup day. It is clear from the numbers that once people register they show up to vote, so they are not seen as lazy as other places. So many people in clusters in this country have struggled for the right to vote, and it is our accountability to continue to make voting as reasonable and laidback as possible for as many people as we
