Religion is all around. Tests and gathered statistics by the pew research center state that eighty four percent of the world is part of an organized religion.1 Even those who are completely irreligious are not free from religion. Religion Is built into every society and culture around the world. There are no exceptions. Because religion is such a big part of culture and society it becomes evident that we have to analyze it and its effects. More importantly its effects on people’s lives, behavior and state of being. The question that seems to sum up all of these fairly well is “ What is the relationship between religion and morality.” Morality being the how people interact with each other and the world. Religion To the devout religion is a necessary. They could not imagine a productives society without religion. In some extent they are correct. There is solid findings that religion does have positive effects on people in communities. Sets of data have showed that no question, religious Americans members give more to charity and perform more community service than their secular counterparts.2. This could be for multiple reasons. The devout american christian might simply explain that as because religion or a connection with god naturally makes you a more moral person. The reasoning behind that explanation isn’t convincing however. A theory behind the fact begins with community. America is a highly religious place.
