Trends are styles or ideals. Such as racism, some of these trends that go as far back as prehistoric times, some of this trends still are around and effect our world today. There are some who are blind to the fact of some of these trends still existing. It?s believed that some of these trends no longer exist here in America trends such as sexism, racism, and government corruption. Well these trends still exist and we should no longer be ignorant to them.
Sexism is being prejudice, stereotyping or discrimination because of gender. Women back a time ago could be seen as inferior to men and only useful for cleaning, reproduction, taking care of their children, sex and sometimes even seen as evil "Woman is the gate of the devil, the path of wickedness, the sting of the serpent, in a word a perilous object." (Aquinas). This quote it talking about women being seen as evil or leading men to evil, like Eve from the Bible comments the first sin and leads Adam to sin. Back in the 1800s sexism was open and a popularly trend, sexism can be seen in advertisements, jobs, and status. Advisements like ?Know your place? or ?So the

Racism now is a bit less direct, like in schools there are segregated by drawing lines around certain neighborhoods, or police unfair to certain races. Like looking at the number of students of a certain race you looking at Weldon, Halifax, and Roanoke Rapids, Roanoke Rapids is mostly white with Halifax and Weldon bring mostly black. And these black school are also the schools known to have the low test scores bad teachers and students who may be part of low income families. Kids at these schools like Weldon and Halifax are given the worst education especially compare to schools like Roanoke Rapids. Then you have jobs that have unequal pay like a black man is payed less than the white man. Race is something we can?t control, we can?t help the race we are yet we are discritmate for
